ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
My wife and I started an aircraft repair and painting business at the Hagerstown Regional Airport in 2005, and have been strong advocates for the growth and redevelopment of our City Center from the beginning. We watched progress start and stop from time to time over the years, but grew increasingly discouraged as new businesses opened and closed in the City Center, making no real impact on economic progress or employment. With so many advantages to living in this beautiful part of the Country, why weren't outside investors flocking to the area to take advantage? Something was wrong, but what? How to fix it?
When a vacancy opened on the City Council in 2018, neighbors encouraged me to interview for the position. I did and was selected. My goal was to try to contribute my business knowledge and experience to the City, to try and understand why developers with the resources to transform Hagerstown were not attracted to do projects here, and determine how to attract and retain businesses to provide good jobs and tax revenues that could be used to make lasting improvements, making our City a vibrant and fun place to live. I have been focused on that task from the day I was appointed, and ask for your support to continue this work.
